The rules I give every agent.
They sit in a file the agent reads before it does anything. Most exist because something went wrong once.
Feedback
- If I might be complaining, assume I am.I dictate. "Bland" once came through as "blend", and an agent kept the thing I hated.
- Never keep what I rejected as the default.I shouldn't have to say it twice.
Words
- Never invent a fact.Real numbers and real quotes, or leave them out.
- Say it in as few words as you can. That goes for the agent talking to me, and for the page talking to you.
- No comments in code by default.Only when a name can't carry a contract or a safety reason.
Design
- Nothing moves on hover or press.Color changes. Position doesn't.
- One orange. No tints, no glow.Blurred color is the fastest way to look like everyone else.
- A material is a surface, never a picture. It sits behind something real, or it doesn't appear.
Git and tools
- Never commit without asking me.I read it first.
- Name every file you add.No git add -A.
- Never push. Never skip a hook. Those two stay mine.
- Use Bun for everything. One tool, one lockfile.
Checking
- "It renders" doesn't mean it's done.Unstyled but loading is a failure. Compare it to the reference.
- Never pass --fix to a check.A check reports. I decide what changes.
- Back up my settings before testing. My real tweaks live in my browser's storage.
